Merluna Station is 35 kms from the Bamaga turnoff on the Weipa Road.
It is well sign posted along the Peninsula Development Road and is a short 8 km drive into the station which is an “Oasis in the Dust”. Merluna Station has a range of accommodation with ensuite cabins, ensuite rooms, single rooms and a large campground. The rustic camp shed doubles as a camp kitchen and a recreation area. Facilities include pool table, ping pong table, dart board, swimming pool and laundry. There are 3 short walking tracks along the creek within walking distance from the campground with an abundance of birds and other wildlife. Meals are available and very popular for campers - it is appreciated if meals are ordered in advance.
